A journey through Her

Let me be your guide to her, cutting to the chase, just like her.

Here I point some intrinsic landmarks, together with a plethora of new ones, still dewy from their novelty, in addition to naming the inconsequential.

 

We start with some boulders of uncertainty, precariously falling and combusting into dust,

With a glimpse of sanguinity laundering its way into this cerebral domain at large.

Greeted by an unruly crossroad maneuvered with utmost caution,

A road dissecting the ghost of the past and flowering hope,

All well-seasoned with some scintillating banter,

Noting a hint of a very normal routine of restlessness

while casually thinking about the immortality of the crab.

 

Soon, we head towards the direction of her blooming which has not stopped abruptly yet,

Like an overzealous April morning in full throttle spring,

But also a cozy November evening residing in its calmness and serenity.

Tucked into the winter night, parallel to caressing some warm yellowing pages from an old classic book, the aroma of its staleness unlocking memories you didn’t even know you had.

Utterly glad to have avoided the piping hot May summer afternoon or the drab overnight July showers.

 

We take a turn to witness her mending clipped wings,

Apprehending every passing emotion, like a tree survey with a stamped number.

Come, follow me into the labyrinth of her becoming,

Trying not to imbue the past with a grief that does not belong there,

All while burying herself in peanut butter ramen with scallops.

Like I said, totally normal.

 

Look, a plant repotted.

In that corner is her embodying her quietude so fervently that you can almost hear her healing.

Unbeknownst to her, facing her demons didn’t always mean fighting them.

With a hand dealt and her own path to blaze,

A more realistic career goal for a wavering mind,

Seasonal envy becomes a clue, a directional signal to her next stride,

Soon we will be offered another avenue to traverse through.

 

Untroubled at 11pm, deliberation at 2am,

A vacuum at 7am, resistance at 11am,

Dormant at 3pm, a riddle at 5pm,

Displacement at 7pm and gluttony at 9pm.
